I loved the humour of chocolate cake and think it’s a very funny book. I would recommend it and I’d like to read some of the series. The illustrations are really detailed and beautiful.

I like wizards so found this book interesting. There were soldiers hunting for dragons and I liked it when they saw one and were kind to it.

Its a little bit funny and silly, I got a bit confused by the riddle in the book but my mum helped me understand it. In it a friendly dragon is being chased out of towns and the King has a lots of fat unfit soldiers. Melric the wizard meets the dragon and is helped by his friends to solve the dragon problem. The soldiers all run about ruining "fake" dragons with their weapons. By the end there's a party and everyone is invited and happy.

Its a funny read:) It talks about the king and its soldiers and Melric the Magician in Kings court. The Soldiers were naughty as they use to just eat lost and lots of cake and did not do enough exercise so they were quite fat looking. The King heard of Dragons being found all over is kingdom and wanted to get hold of them. He sent his lethargic and foolish soldiers on dragon hunt. The King left Melric to take care of his pet. when Melric was alone he cast his spell to visit one of the dragon. While the foolish soldiers attacked the inns the carpets and anything that had dragon picture the melric brought the dragon home. Interestingly Dragon loved the cake too. when the king found it out he was happy that no one can attack a king who boast of having dragons. Melric and the dragon was rewarded with lots of chocolate cakes and they lived happily ever after.

I liked the soldiers on the pages doing funny things. They get chubby because they eat too much and being lazy.
