Reviews

I personally loved the book. The book did drag me in a lot but the only thing that made me give it a 4 was it was too easy for me.I love fictional books and I prefer books that pull me in like a magnet and its very hard to find books like that but luckily I found the right book. My personal favourite character was Tara as she was very small and innocent yet very cheeky. I would recommend this book to people around 7-9 but it honestly depends on which books your interested in, no matter your age.

My favourite part is when Tara, the baby elephant and Harvey, a faithful, loyal border collie manages to find Tara’s mother, Shanti after journeying many miles and getting a few injuries but all in one piece. They can now live a happy life in their new home, without any worries or pain from anyone as everybody loves them. My least favourite part is when keeps on mourning for her daughter, Tara by using a low frequency that us, as humans can’t hear using just our ears. Tara, tries the same noise in order to try to communicate with her mother but they are just too far away, even with their giant ears to hear their calls. Tara and Shanti live with their owner, Albert and the elephants perform in a circus. When the war begins, Shanti and her baby, Tara are separated when their owner goes of to fight in the war. With the old, loyal border collie, Harvey by her side, Tara goes on a long journey to try and find her mum, growing weaker every step without the nutrition from the milk that her mum produces. She can’t drink cows milk either. They stop at many places, some people being friendly, others, not so much and with lots of animals who could be vicious or helpful, well they just don’t know. In the end, Tara and Shanti are reunited and very happy to be back together again and their owner soon returns.
