I will recommend this book to my friends. I liked it. Because it taught me to be courageous even if the situation is scarry. I like the part when the pirate girl helps other girl when she fell in to the river, even if she was a enemy.

I liked the end because Melinda and Eloa became best friends. The monkey showed Fatbeak how to throw the coconuts . My favourite character was Eloa because she had a lovely flower in her hair.

Easy, straight forward reading and adventurous. It shows that even if people have hurt you you should still show them acts of kindness, in the hope that they might change their opinion about you.
