Crikey! This was a bit hard going to start with. I really wanted to find out what had happened to Curtis and it got a bit boring and dragged on a bit. But I didn’t give up although I really wanted too. My mum read through the middle bit and it got a exciting towards the middle and then I couldn’t put it down and even my mum wanted to read it too! This girl called Zita brings back the dowager governess. She brings her back to life with a spell and these items - a feather, a pebble and alexeiks teeth. Then it all goes wrong and the ivy takes over the whole of Wildwood and destroys everything. Prue and Curtis have to save Wildwood and Curtis ends up meeting his sisters in Wildwood and having to join forces to fight the governess. In the end Alexie is brought back to life by Esben the bear and Carol Grod and he talks to his mum - the governess and they cuddle and he tells her that he forgives her and then she just disappears. Alexi decides to stay in Wildwood to help the animals and people otherwise they would fight and argue. Even Curtis returns home for a little bit to see his parents when they return from Russia but he has to go back to the bandits because that’s where he belongs. This was a really great series to read but it did take a while to read. Some bits I didn’t really understand and had to look up the words but I enjoyed the way is was set in the woods and had taking animals, birds and people who lived In the woods. It really sparked my imagination. I would recommend it but you ,Ishtar find some bits hard.
