I liked the way that Tyron had shown both his sides to Leif. This gave him an interesting character.

I think its a great book. Its adventurous and full of horror and thrills. I'd say its more horror and thrills rather than adventure. It also has advanced vocabulary so I think advanced readers only. If you are into that stuff then go for it but there will be some words you might not understand.
