A funny, exciting series for younger readers, by the bestselling Vivian French and David Melling.

Sam J. Butterbiggins’ only ambition is to be a Very Noble Knight, but he has a problem – he’s been packed off to the castle next door to stay with his uncle, aunt and cousin Prune.

But Sam’s about to discover a magical scroll listing the six quests he must complete to become a knight … and with Prune’s help, he’s already managed three of them! Now he has to earn his very own knightly shield. Prune knows where to go for armour: Puddlewink Castle! But before they can cross the drawbridge they’re stopped by a terrifying creature. Will Sam’s knightly dreams end here?

I would highly recommend this book if you like medieval warriors. Though I’d also suggest reading the previous books in the series first.

This book is about dreams of becoming a very noble Knight. he's on his fourth quest, but it's the most difficult yet! For this quest, Sam needs to earn his very own knightly shield . His cousin knows where to go for the armour: puddlewink castle!

It was a fiction book. My favourite character was Cousin Dolly because she is a bit dozzy and her cakes were really ancient. I want my friends to read it!

It was a funny book, because Dennis the Moat Monster (my favourite character) came in the castle because he was hungry. He was hungry because Cousin Dolly has forgotten to feed him. He tried to eat the people but Sam (the Knight in Training) fed him salt, which made his go back to the moat because he was thristy, so they escaped being eaten. I would recommend this book.

I liked this book because it was funny and sometimes it got a bit tense but what I wasn't sure about it was that it was a bit easy to read so I zoomed through it very quickly!
