I absolutely adore this book, its so amazing! I love the plot and theory, and it features loads of characters from His Dark Materials. This series is mainly about a boy called Malcom, and his friend, Alice in 'La Belle Sauvage' and Lyra herself, grown up in 'The Secret Commonwealth'. They're all about finding 'Dust' elementary particles that fall from the sky, but I didn't find this boring at all because Philip Pullman told this story in an amazing, adventurous way. Its all about action and secrets, I love it! Book 2, The Secret Commonwealth, ending on a cliffhanger, it was sooooo annoying! I can't wait to read the next book when it comes out. I would definitely recommend this for anyone10+.

this is a great book, but i found the first few chapters not particularly interesting. my favorite character was Lyra Belaqua. i would recommend this to people over 12, who like books with lots of words and little pictures.

To began with I found it quite complecated for example I was confused with what demon meant but once I worked that out I found it amaizing
