I liked this book because I love elephants. The story is about a zoo and a baby boy elephant who was a bit cheeky. When he fell into deep water he nearly drowned but the a bigger elephant helped him.

I've read that sometimes you should not rush to do something, because in this book they were doing a shortcut to the lake, so the baby Elephant couldn't run ahead because then it would be dangerous because there were lots of people around and they went into the hippo enclosure and the elephant's name was Bertie and he said he loves the water so then he jumped into the water, but then he realised it was too deep so he got stuck. Oscar the big elephant was scared of the water but he stood up for himself so he went in and saved Bertie.

I really liked this book. I would highly recommend it. I learnt that if you are scared of anything you should always try to overcome it as it will bring you happiness. Just like Oscar overcame its fear of swimming to help a friend in need!

Hilarious book. The baby elephant was the funniest. Zoe tries to help the baby elephant to calm down but she couldnt. My favourite Bertie was my favourite.

I enjoyed this story, the elephant is always eager to play. When going to the hippo enclosure he gets a bit stuck and he has to be rescued. I would recommend this to a friend who likes animals.

Zoe is a girl who lives in her uncle's rescue zoo, and she has a great secret, she can TALK to animals!!! Zoe is so excited about the new baby elephant, he is sooooooo playful but, will it be a problem for Zoe? I love the baby elephant because he is so small, cute and I love his name, he's called Bertie. My favourite character is a little mouse lemur named Meep because he goes where ever Zoe goes (not including school). This book is one of my favourites because of the funny characters and cool adventures!! All in all, I love this book and I'm sure you will to. I rate this book to people aged 6 or over.
