Boyface and the Quantum Chromatic Disruption Machine
James Campbell, Mark Weighton
Boyface Antelope has been waiting his whole life to turn ten and be allowed to enter his parents’ stripemongering shop so he can take stripes off animals and put them on something different. Like tartan onto badgers, or removing the stripes of zebras to make ponies. On the morning of his tenth birthday he finds his parents ill, and they ask him not just to go in the shop but to look after it on his own! Will he be able to keep the stripemongery running smoothly?
Reviews

My favourite character was Boyface, the main character because he was a little boy like me. The tigers in the suitcase was a bit scary! I would recommend this book.

It was really funny because Boyface put a cat in the stripe machine and accidentally turned it into pasta.

I like the book because it was about a little boy called Boyface and his father’s machine. The book was very funny and also interesting. My favourite character is Boyface because he is very determined.

This is a good book for all ages over 7. If we went in the machine what would be removed off us? Anyways, making ponies from zebras is a good idea as long as you know some people who would buy them - you wouldn't really want 20+ ponies in your house!
