I like this book because my daddy goes away a lot and it describes the same as I feel when my daddy is away. Reading this book helps me understand and feel better. I think everyone who has a daddy who has to go away should read this book. It has lovely colourful pictures and some funny bits in it like smelly socks!

Looking at the picture Emil said that the dad is going away and the children are happy because they will get a surprise when the dad is back. Emil said the the children are very upset when their dad is away and they count the days for their dad to be back. They plan a lot of things to do and very happy when the dad is back. Emil enjoyed the book and learned few new words.
