Ruth McNally Bradshaw is a brilliant author! You will enjoy this book, if you like reading, camping and nature! It's really interesting and the pictures really help you understand what the diary/book is about. I borrowed another Ellie McDoodle Diaries (Most Valuable Player) and I didn't enjoy that one! It was because it was about sport and I didn't understand what was happening. That is why you always read the first book of the series initially!

She goes to camp with her cousins and her uncle and her auntie And she keeps a dairy and she draws pictures in the diary. One of her cousins is calledd Erik and she thinks he's annoying. It is a very interesting story. I have read all of the books and they are really good and fun to read. You must read this book it is great.

i think that you should read this book because its just like a more girly version of diary of a wimpy kid which is great because i love diary of a wimpy and since i read all of the wimpy kid books i was trying to find a diary book and my mum found this book and i loved it. its full of adventure and its really funny so i really think that you should read it!

Ruth McNally Barshaw is an excellent author. This is a hilarious story about how Ellie McDoodle copes at camp with her Aunt Mug/Ug, Uncle Ewing, Cousin Eric/Er-ICK, Cousin Deana, Cousin Tiffie and her naughty little brother, wearing a crash helmet, Ben-Ben. For those who like Jeff Kinney's 'Diary of a Wimp Kid' collection or Lincoln Pierce's 'Big Nate''s, this is a brilliant choice.
