Reviews

I really enjoy reading the My Story series and I am particularly interested in Tudor history so this book was one of the first I borrowed and one that I keep borrowing. It is the diary of Princess Elizabeth, the ill-fated daughter of supposed 'witch' Anne Boleyn and the easily angered King Henry VIII, the princess who will one day become legendary Queen Elizabeth I (though she doesn't know that yet). It follows her thoughts and daily excitements as the forgotten princess, hated by her half-sister Mary and in and out of favour with her father. This is a truly thrilling and vivid addition to the My Royal Story series by Kathryn Lasky and I recommend it to anyone who likes historical fiction, especially the Tudors and Monarchy, like me!
