I thought the step mother was super creepy when you found out her truth but the determination that Coraline had was inspirational.

After reading this book I decide that to give it a 4 because I like the dark storyline and enjoyed reading it! I thought the layout as an adult cartoon was really interesting and a different way to read a story as the pictures helped you to see what the author was describing. I throughly recommend this book but only if you don’t scare easily!

Extraordinary but a little bit frightening too this book will make you shiver! I liked coraline because she was very brave and adventurous. I would recommend it to someone else because it gives you the shivers and sometimes it is fun to have a little bit of a horrifying book.

This book was weird and wonderful. It has all the creepy happenings that you would expect from Neil Gaiman and from the knowledge of this book. It had me on the edge throughout the story and brought me into the world of the 'other mother'.

A spine-chilling story of a girl called Coraline who moves to a new house to discover a portal to another world. The portal leads to a place with the perfect parents but they aren't ordinary, they have buttons as eyes. Before Coraline finds out, she goes in the portal every night with her 'perfect' parents which soon force her to have button eyes. The evil mother traps her in a room where Coraline finds 3 souls of missing children and she must find their eyes in order to save them and save herself. Luckily, she is a quick thinker with a mind of her own and manages to escape freeing the souls of the 3 children. I recommend this book because it is great and fun to read!

It is a mystery and a horror book but not that scary I liked Coraline because she is really clever an d defeated her other mother The other mother was really evil and tried to keep Coraline to herself and trapped her real mother

I love how it's not that scary, but the buttons creep me out. My favorite bit was the chase in the small passage way to the other world. I kind of felt sorry for her when she got stuck but she managed to find out how to get out.

I liked this book because it was very action-packed; not suitable for people who don't like scary stories.

Coraline's life is very-very boring. I think that her parents don't take care of her. In the beginning I was bored to death! Fortunately, she found a secret wall and met "the other mother", Miss Forcible and a lovely cat... she got new friends. She just imagined a lot of strange and frightened things. Have no fear, it will come to good :-)

Good book, but may be scary for younger readers.
