When I grow up I want to be a vet but mum doesn't like things that poo in the house which means I'll never be allowed another pet. Not even one. Tiny. Small. Pet. It is true that I have Bathilda Brown, my beautiful, invisible, dribbly dog. But if I'm ever going to be a PROPER, PROFESSIONAL VET, I'm going to need lots of animals that I can actually see. My name is Wendy Quill and this is the story of how I tried to grow a pet!

It is a fiction book. My favourite character is Wendy Quill's friend Florance Hubert because she helps Wendy Quill to learn how to be a vet. I would recommend it to anyone who likes a good laugh and especially if you want to be a vet when you grow up .

Wendy has a mum, dad,a sister called Tawny and a brother called Woody. Her nickname is Wheezy Bird. Wendy wants to be a vet when she grows up.She has a rabbit and a cat as pets but she wants a dog as well but her mum refused because she does not like poo in her house. So she pretends to have a invisible dog called Bathilda Brown. When she forgets about Bathilda Brown she tries to grow lots of frogs. She gets into trouble because she called her teacher,Miss Pinch, a poodle. My favourite character is Tawny. I would recommend this book to someone else.

It's funny and explains how sometimes you have to let things go once they have grown. It also explains how life can be a bit sad at times.

I didn't think this book was very good-it certainly wasn't for me but may be for you; however, I extremely like the pictures drawn by the author's 12 year old daughter. It was funny in places but all together I didn't find it terribly interesting.

This is a very funny book. It is very addictive and humorous as Wendy never stops trying to grow a pet! She try's to get nit's so they could be her pet but instead of just giving them to herself she gives them to a friend. I read this a while ago and I cannot remember whether she gets them or not. This a very enjoyable book and everyone should read it! ( And without doubt you'll love it)!

I enjoyed how the diary was planned out but was not too keen on the story line. It did not particularly stand out to me but that is only my opinion.
