This is the purrfect book for dog lovers and cat lovers alike. It is full of short but exciting stories from many famous authors. Half of the book is about cats, and the other about dogs. I rate this 4 out of 5 stars because it is an amazing book that it worth getting but the stories are so short and are from the middle of books so sometimes don’t quite add up. A lot of the language used in there are quite old-fashioned so some of the younger readers might have trouble understanding it.

Paws and Whiskers is a lovely book of animal stories, all written by different authors or excerpts from books, chosen by Jacqueline Wilson and illustrated by Nick Sharratt. My favourite chapter was the one where the authors talked about their own pets, but my favourite thing of all was the fact that the book was written in aid of Battersea Dogs and Cats home.
