Famous Five Colour Short Stories: Five and a Half-Term Adventure
Enid Blyton, Jamie Littler
Julian, Dick, Anne, George and Timmy the dog find excitement and adventure wherever they go in Enid Blyton’s most popular series. A short story in colour for younger readers.
George’s dog Timmy sniffs out an adventure when he spots some suspicious-looking passengers on a train. He is very interested in one of them, but what has he spotted? Can the Famous Five solve this mystery?
In addition to the Famous Five novels, Enid Blyton wrote a clutch of short stories based on the characters. These were published in magazines and collected in the Famous Five Short Story Collection (Hodder). For the first time, the complete text of Five and a Half-Term Adventure (1956) appears in an individual volume, illustrated with lively contemporary colour art by Jamie Littler.
Reviews
My favourite part was when the suspicious people are on the train with the 'baby in the shawl' and it whines. It turns out to be the special dog they'd captured from the town hall show. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes famous five.

Didn’t love it didn’t hate it. Don’t know how to feel about it. Other children who like Eden Blyton more than I do would prefer but definitely this is a good book.

Dick was my favourite character. I liked the fact Timmy the dog was right even though the children didn't realise at first. I liked that the children and Timmy helped the police to get the dog back. I would recommend this book to others.

it was a very interesting because they really used there imagination with the helper dog. The kids were very young, not very but they could do a lot of cool stuff. I recommend it to other people because anyone who likes story books, would like this book. It os very good, and has a lot of detail and is not hard to understand.
