Famous Five Colour Short Stories: George's Hair Is Too Long
Enid Blyton, Jamie Littler
Julian, Dick, Anne, George and Timmy the dog find excitement and adventure wherever they go in Enid Blyton's most popular series. Borrowing some scissors is the beginning of an adventure for the Famous Five, as George manages to get mixed up with some burglars. The others are too busy eating ice cream to realise that George is in trouble! Will the Famous Five manage to catch up with the burglars and save the day? In addition to the Famous Five novels, Enid Blyton wrote a clutch of short stories based on the characters. These were published in magazines and collected in the Famous Five Short Story Collection (Hodder). For the first time, the complete and original text of George's Hair Is Too Long (1955) appears in an individual volume, illustrated with brand new colour art by Jamie Littler.

I really love reading Famous Five books. In this fictional story, Timmy the dog helps rescue George who is trapped in the boot of a caravan. He is tricked into the caravan by a person pretending to be a hairdresser. It was fun to read and I recommend this book to all my friends.

It's a very exciting story with lots of action in. The main character is George. He was going to get his hair cut at Mr Pails's shop, but then things took a different turn...

It is fiction. My favourite dog was Timmy I would recommend it to someone else. I thought they would be stuck in the wardrobe and locked up and then the wardrobe was stuck in the van.

I thought that when George thought her hair would get as long as Anne’s hair. I think it was scary because Anne almost got ran over. Timmy because he was so brave. Yes because it is wierd.

This was so good! George was so obstinate! Timmy was the hero. The thieves? They were 2 men who had no tools to change a wheel and had never changed one before! Timmy, the best. I would recommend it to everyone. Really everyone.
