My favourite character was, of course, Jenny Linskey and Romulus and Remus. My favourite part was when Jenny got her scarf back and when she got some adopted brothers and when she joined the cat club and when her brothers joined the cat club.

What a charming book; Jenny and the Cat Club (an American classic) deserves a place on every young child's shelf. This book is a real heart warmer. In Greenwich Village an orphaned black cat, Jenny Linsky, lived happily with her kind owner Captain Tinker, a retired sea-captain. Jenny longed to join the local Cat Club with Madame Butterfly, the fancy dancer Macaroni, the two lover cats and plump Mr. President. But how can she prove that she has a special gift too? What can she do? I have had this in a collection of stories for years. I am now 11, and probably much too old to be reading those sorts of books (I now read much more grown up novels!), but there is something so comforting about reading an old favourite. I have to rate this book five stars, because of its warmth - I also love cats, so I recommend this book to young cat lovers. My favourite character has got to be Jenny herself because the reader feels sorry for her at first, but then is so happy when she finds her true talent... I won't say any more! Read the book!
