Despite his Mum's insistence, Sam doesn't want to be friends with Davey, he thinks Davey's a first class, grade A, top of the dung heap moron. But one day he saves Sam's life and a bond is formed between them. Sam is still embarrassed to be seen with Davey, but little by little he has to admit, when it's just the two of them, he is a lot of fun.

This is a poem so its different to what i would usually have. There were lots of different techniques of poem structures. Some were rhyming and some were haikus. I wrated it a 3 because it was very easy and i didn't understand it at first but then i got the point of it.

I liked that the book was written like a poem - it is different from the other books that I usually read. The story in the book was ok but not as interesting or exciting as some of the other books that I have read as part of the reading challenge.

I really liked the way that it was written from Sam's point of view because it showed how much of a decision he had to make with his friends. Alex or Davey? Alex or Davey? I would recommend this book to everyone.

I enjoyed it. I loved the book and couldn’t put it down. I loved it so much that I read it in 2 hours and I didn’t put the book down until I had finished. If I could pick a book I wouldn’t pick one with poetry in it. But this book changed my mind about poetry and now I like it. I thought the book was really good.

My friend lent me this book. I enjoyed reading it as the book was written in a different way to the books I normally read. The whole book is written is verse and is very easy to read as the words flow. The story was sad in places and shows you the importance of friendship.
