I liked this book because the English and the Germans were about to start fighting in the war, but then an English man walked over and made friends with a German man. Instead of fighting, they decided to play a game of football! I almost didn't believe it was true, but my Mum says it really happened! I would recommend this book to a friend because it was interesting.

I liked this book because it had facts about world war one but it was told as peoles point of view of the war.

This book is good for people who want to know more about World War 1 and who are not on one side or the other because there's more than one point of view to the story. Did you know that there are more than one Chapter 7!!!

It's a very good history book and it's very exciting. It helps me to understand what the war would have been like and I really liked the football part and that soldiers then liked playing football, just like me now!

This tells the true life story of how the German and British soldiers had a truce on Christmas Day 1914 and played a game of football instead of fighting. Most of the book is not about football, so don't let that put you off if you aren't interested in soccer!
