The Gwildorian villagers wanted the ring so they could sell it for food.Tom gave the pearl instead.Velmal put green feathers to make Hawkite work for him.The ring had the power to turn people invisible.

I think Tom has been very brave in trying to fight the beast and convince the villagers that he is there to help.

I chose 4 stars because it was really noticeable once Tom spotted the green feathers that they were controlling Hawkite. I think it could have been even better if it was a bit less noticeable and I really liked the way that she could make wind.

I thought it was amazing. I loved it and I think lots of other people would love this book. My favourite character is Hawkite because the bird was actually a good beast not bad. I would definitely recommend this to someone else.

My thoughts about this book is it is adventurous and exciting and full of challenges the characters have to face.This book was fiction and my favourite character was a person who was starving and helped Tom find a ring,I liked them because they were really nice because they could of sold the ring for food.I would recommend it if you read the first one.
