Violet Mackerel is moving house – and using her theories to help make friends!

Violet Mackerel has just moved house. She doesn’t have any friends near the new house, so making one is high on her To Do list. A possible friend is the girl next door, who shares Violet’s love of small things. An exchange of small notes (and small gifts!) later, a BIG invitation arrives. Rose is having a birthday party… What better way to turn a POSSIBLE friend into a VERY GOOD friend!

I like this book because of how the story tells a certain story to it . The book shows that you can make friends at anytime, anywhere.

Violet is a very friendly girl and she hopes that she can make a new friend with Rose who lives next door. She gives Rose a pretty little present Because she saw her mum and dad give each other a little present on their wedding day and thought it would be a nice thing to do! I enjoyed this book because it was about friendship and it had a happy ending as Violet and Rose became best friends!

Introduction: There was a girl who moved house and she longed for a friend. Her name was Violet. There was a girl next door her age. Story line: Violet has moved house. One afternoon she was playing about and popped a hole into the fence which joins both houses. Violet decided to give the family a note and a bell to say sorry. Review: I liked this book because it was a happy story ending. I would recommend this book for 6-8 year olds.
