Dolphin adores her mother: she’s got wonderful clothes, bright hair and vivid tattoos all over her body. She definitely lives a colourful life. Dolphin’s older sister, Star, also loves her but is beginning to wonder if staying with a mum whose temper can be as flashy as her body-art is the best thing for the girls…

This book was amazing! I love how Marigold (Star and Dolphin's mum) was so different from the other mums and how each of her tattoos told a story. The book was inventive and you never knew what was going to happen next as there were many twists. For example, I didn't think both the girls were going to find their dads. I was amazed by how much Dolphin looked up to her mum and the story really touched my heart. it felt like it was real and it had a great moral at the end.

I thought it was good. My favourite person was Oliver. I would recommend it.

I thought it was sad but also happy and shocking. Sad because near the end Marigold had to go to hospital because she painted herself white and didn't move, shocking because Star left Dolphin alone with Marigold and happy because Dolphin has a special friend. Oliver I loved Oliver. I recommend this book.

The illustrated mum was good and my favourite character was Dolphin. It is written in fiction and the author made it seem like it was written by Dolphin. It was about am mum and two of her daughters. It is by Jacqueline Wilson so if you like any other books by her then you might like this one! I would recommend this book to anyone from 7-11.

Its a great fictional book and my favourite character in it is definitely Marigold. This is because I love her tattoos and how she tries how best to be a good mum (even though she has problems). I would recommend this book to people who like books about true problems people have in a book beautifully illustrated.

This is a very touching story in my opinion. It's about a young girl called Dolphin and has some trouble about her mum. When her sister finds her long-lost father what does Dolphin do..You will definitely enjoy the adventures of these three people.

This wasn't my favorite Jacqueline Wilson book but it was still very good. Jacqueline painted some very vivid images in my mind, such as when Marigold painted herself.

I liked this Jacqueline Wilson book a lot. It was about two sisters called Star and Dolphin and their mum was covered in tattoos. Whatever next? Does Star meet her dad..or not?πŸ˜‰
