The Horse and His Boy: Unabridged (The Chronicles of Narnia, Book 3)
C. S. Lewis, Alex Jennings
Following on from The Magician’s Nephew and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, this is a classic fantasy adventure from The Chronicles of Narnia. A complete and unabridged edition.
Desperate to escape a harsh and narrow regime, two runaways unwittingly flee headlong into the centre of a terrible battle. This first sequel to The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe includes all the hallmarks of its famous predecessor, though this time the fate of Narnia is wound up in the lives of its own children – and a talking horse!Reviews

This is a wonderful adverture story, based on the happenings that occur in the time of Narnia, whilst High King Peter, Queen Susan, who is next in line to be the 'High' ruler, King Edmund and my personal favourite, Queen Susan are in charge. It starts of, in the neighbouring kingdom to Narnia, caloremen, a much bigger empire compared to the rest, compared to the rest. A child by the name of Shasta, and his supposed father, a fisherman, are living, far from the settlement of the other people and cities. Shasta always wanders why his skin is so fare, and his father's is dark, like other caloremen. He feels an outsider. One day, a Tarkaan, the upper-class caloremen male, stops to reside at his home for the night, so Shasta is kicked out to sleep someplace else. Outside, he meets the horse of the Tarkaan, who turns out to be a Narnian Horse, as he talks. He tells Shasta the reason he is Whiter than the rest: ge too is a white barbarian (Narnian or Archenlandish). So they both journey to the northen side of their world, to the place where the Narnian and Archenlandish settlement. They join forces with another runaway couple, a Narnian horse and a young Tarkheena, the upper-class Caloremen females, who is escaping from her father. They get lost in the great city of Tashban, the capital city, and Shasta gets mistaken for a royal child. They both swop, and Shasta meets them again. The prince of the calormen, is in love with Queen Susan and they decide to have a war over her. Shasta and his Friends rush to warn the archenlandish King of the upcoming danger. There is a battle in which Shasta find that he is the honoured lost prince of Archenland and he becomes king later on... Agreat story recommended to all!

It was very mysterious as Shasta was actually Prince Cor (Brother of Prince Corin) he meets Bree a talking horse when a knight comes to talk then Shasta meets Bree and they meet a girl called Aravis (Who is the Princess of Tashbaan) with a talking horse as well they go to Narnia and find that the the Emperor of Tashbaan (Who wants to marry Aravis is going to fight the Calormen (Where Shasta was found) and Narnia! Who do you think will win? My favourite character is Shasta/Prince Cor. I would definitely recommend it to somebody else.

I loved this book even though some of the things they said didn’t make sense especially the rabadash because he was the king of archeland. I wish they included Alan more hopefully in the next book they will.

This book was really detailed and fun. I simply devoured it and loved every momemt. I would most likely recommend this book to all ages under 12 and over 6 because some of the language is harder but when you get older it may become a bit boring and dull. It was a great fiction story and my favroute character was Lucy as i have liked her in all the other Narnia stories. Loved this bok and I would read it any day.
