Suitable for the National Curriculum at Key Stage 2, it gives a good feel for the period and the place, and gives an insight into the life of child workers in the mills of Victorian Britain – how they were treated and the dangers inherent in the job.

a story about a very hard working girl who is dreaming of a better life. She was so brave to look for help in a difficult moment in order to save the mill. Saving the mill makes her dream come true. So it is a lovely story about helping others.
