Exciting new 6 book character-led series for 7+ girls who love adventure!

Very few people ever enter the Shadow Woods, for these woods are like no others. Hidden deep within them is the Gateway to the Shadow Realm – a dark and chaotic world where all kinds of gruesome creatures live… On her tenth birthday, tomboy Sophie learns she is the Guardian of the magical gateway, and that her destiny is to protect the human world from the goblins, trolls and evil sprites that inhabit the Shadow Woods. Each book sees Sophie having to outwit weird and terrifying creatures from the Shadow Woods, starting with the gruesome Goblins!

I love this book because I loved the main character Sophie, the guardian of the world and I would like to be like her. It is a fabulous fiction book and my favourite character is Sophie who goes on lots of adventures to save the world from the ugly goblins. This book interested me because there are lots of crazy creatures in the deep dark wood. Sophie and her brave grandfather have to save the world from the ugliest goblins because if they capture the green gem and the key they can enter the gateway to the human world! I would recommend this book to my friends because you can have a really good time reading Sophie’s adventures.

I liked Sophie and the Shadow Woods because she is one of the kind of girls that doesn’t just wat to be with boys and I like mythical creatures.

It is different to the Star friends series because in these books they have to protect the gems from the goblins. If they get the gems and put them in the keys then the gate will open and let all the bad, troublesome things out. That is why Sophie and her friend Sam have to stop them. I would recommend it to anyone who likes Star Friends.

The scariest bit was when the goblins came into the real human world! I'd like to read the other books in the series to find out what happens next

I really enjoyed this book because it was funny at some points and also i really wanted to find out and know if Sophie and Sam did stop the goblins from getting the gems and if they got back the key . My favourite character was Sophie because she was the main person and she fought the goblins . I would recommend this book to someone who likes to read adventurous and interesting books
