I heard the wind above me in the sails. I remember thinking, this is silly, you have’t got your safety harness on, you haven’t got your lifejacket on. You shouldn’t be doing this. Then the boat veered violently and I was thrown sideways. I had no time to grab the guard-rail. I was in the cold of the sea before I could even open my mouth to scream. Washed up on an island in the Pacific, Michael struggles to survive on his own. He can’t find food, he can’t find water. In the end he curls up to die. When he wakes, there is a plate beside him of fish, of fruit, and a bowl of fresh water. He is not alone

Read it at school and there are some bits that are very interesting and some art really but I usually am obsessed with Michale Morpurgo books like boy giant and shadow.

This book was great as I loved how it took you on an adventure and how Michael Morpurgo wrote it. especially how he wrote it when Kensuke was talking as he is not fluent in English and you more details on his personality. I recommend it to anyone who wants to on an adventure.

l read Kensuke's Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo. I enjoyed this book because l found hearing about survival in a stranded island very interesting and what it would be like. Surprisingly, this book is a true story about a stranded Japanese man named Kensuke who lost his family in a war. I would recommend this group to all age groups and l give it a 5 stars.

I have enjoyed the book but kensuke has an very sad and hard life and story but michael sometimes try to help him but michael is also angry with him because of that kensuke don't let michael do things like making a fire or swiming.
