The Mystery of the Pantomime Cat
Enid Blyton

I loved this book because I love mysteries and in the book the manager of the little theatre had a sleeping drug in his tea and was stolen from! Everybody thinks it is the cat in the pantomime because the manager of the little theatre says the pantomime cat brought him the tea with the sleeping drug but the pantomime cat, ( who's name is Boysie) says he didn't bring the manager tea. The incredible Five Find-outers and dog are on the case, ( so is Mr Goon the local policeman) . The Five Find-outers are: Fatty, Pip, Larry, Daisy and Bets. Bets gives an incredible suggestion that puts them on track. They solve the case while Mr Goon goes on the wrong track and gives two unnecessary arrests. They are friends with the friendly Inspector so it is simple once they have solved a marvellous mystery!

I think the first few chapters of this book are brilliant but after a while it gets kind of boring . although euid blyton isn't the author that I enjoy the most so it might just be my taste of books. Anyway , the pantomime cat is about a few children who go on mysteries trying to solve crimes and the police officer called Mr goon is going on holiday and while Mr goons away PC pippin is the police officer in charge and the children don't think there is going to be a mystery so instead of solving a mystery they make one up and put lots of clues out and disguise themselves up as a group of ruffians and make PC pippin go searching for little clues , but is there actually a mystery to be solved ? Well you will find out if you read it, but remember what I said at the begging of this book review I thought it was a bit boring book so if you have read a boring euid blyton book before do not bother picking this book up because you just won't enjoy it.
