Max is a hedgehog who lives with his family in a nice little home, but unfortunately on the wrong side of the road from the Park, with its beautiful lily pond, and more importantly its juicy slugs, worms and snails. The busy road is a dangerous barrier but Max notices that humans seem to cross it quite easily. If they can, why can't hedgehogs?

Yes, it was very funny, just because he talked backwards. That one is still not my favourite book in the world. It's a threeorfour of stars.

I really enjoy reading books about animals and this book is about a hedgehog called Max who is trying to get to the park with his family. Max is determined to find a way to help them.

I think I enjoyed how I got to see the life of a hedgehog and their questions on the human world. I like how Max had so many sisters. i would recommend it because you get dragged in and curious if he discovered a way.

I loved this story. Max wanted to find safe places for hedgehogs to cross but had some trouble. He got a bump on the head and it made him talk funny. A great book.

it was very funny. And Mummy and I made our very own language out of it, mixing up the words. My favourite part was when he said 'something bot me on the hittom'.

People must read this book because it is full of suspense and has talking hedgehogs.It has road crossing sequences.

Because it is funny when Max mixes his words up and said hodgeheg. At last he crosses the road and gets back to his home at number 5a and lives happily ever after.
