Join Hilda in her second adventure as she sets out to secure her birth right and find out who, if he even exists, is the mysterious Midnight Giant. Hilda is a little girl with the uncanny ability to befriend even the most peculiar of house guests. But when an army of little creatures bombard her living room with stones and eviction notices, she has to think twice before making the acquaintance of these diminutive creatures. After sunset, even stranger things start happening. Who is this giant who only appears at midnight, and why is Hilda the only person who can see him?

This is the a great book if you like comics or graphic novels. The drawing is very precise and the atmosphere of the book feels very realistic. A helpful girl called Hilda suddenly sees a tiny town outside her house. The people were always there but she couldn't see them. Hilda helps the midnight giant find his friend who he has been searching a long time for.

Hilda is an exceptionally good book. It features lots of adventure and fantasy. My favourite character is Twig, since I love foxes and deer, so when I met Twig, he became my favourite. I would definitely recommend Hilda to lots of readers who like something adventurous, but also a bit funny. 5 stars.

I love reading these Hilda books and especially the Deerfox too. I do want to get the full collection and one day I will be able to read the chapter books.

I adore these books. This is my least favourite though because in this one Hilda moves away from the wilderness. Everyone should read the Hilda books they have brought joy to our family in these strange times.
