My Dad is a Loser is a madcap must-read for boys who love funny books such as Mr Gum and Wimpy Kid. For all non-loserish dads and their sons. Read this little book to find out why I, Barry Loser, am definitely not at all loserish, even though my dad definitely is. Praise for my other book, I Am Not A Loser, which is about 8 million times longer than this one: ‘Brilliant’ – My mum. ‘Amazing’ – Also my mum Jim Smith’s hilarious illustrated books with their distinctive style and comedy genius make him (and Barry, of course) the coolest – or ‘keelest’ – new writer of books for kids who love to have fun when they read. Fans of Diary of a Wimpy Kid or David Walliams will love Barry Loser’s stories. Jim is also the creator of Waldo Pancake.

It was very funny and surprising. I liked Barry the most. I would recommend it to people who like funny stories. I can't believe dad fell from the loft.

I thought it was a really good book. I like the dad because he fell throw the floorboards of the attic and landed in the bathtub and it was funny. I would recommend it to someone else because it was so funny and quick to read.

I like Barry since he is almost unlucky because he had to waste his time in the attic instead of with his Future Ratboy action figures. My favourite part is his dad falling in the hole.

This book was interesting. But even better it was funny! This was a fiction book. My favourite character was Barry Loser. I loved this book so much! I would recommend it to people over 8+.

This was quite a funny book although it only took me 5 minutes to read. I like the plot of the story but I think it could be a little more detailed even though it is meant to be short.
