Simon finds a magic hippopotamus in the garden. It shrinks if someone says a word meaning ""small"" and grows again if the word ""hippopotamus"" is said. Simon loves his new pet but finds out that it isn’t the easiest kind of animal to keep.

It had lots of imagination and I liked how the hippo shrunk. My favourite character was the hippo and I would recommend the story as it was funny.

A very funny story about a boy who finds a magic hippo that can shrink when you say a word that means the same as tiny, and will grow back to normal size when someone says hippopotamus!
