Reviews

In this book, Mary's father disppears, and she has no one to look after her her, apart from her uncle, who is murdered. She has no one to turn to apart from the Baker Strret Boys, who help her find out more about the murder, and to relocate her father, Ho has been missing for around 5 years. This is one of my favourite books to read, because it has intersting twists and turns, and it has good plots. It is like a mini-version of Sherlock Holmes, and is for younger readers. I really enjoyed reading this book and would really recommend it to readers aged between 10 and 12, because some bits have mild violence. It is in a series of books called the Baker Street Boys by Anthony Read. I'm sure I would read this again, and try out more books in this series and by the author, because there is interesting vocabulary and I really like the mystery and all the characters have different personalities, and my favourite characters are Mary,Sparrow and Quennie, because although they are different in looks and personalities, they still fit together and work as a team.

I really enjoyed this book. If you want to read Sherlock Holmes you should read this spinoff first. It has easier words and vocabulary. I would really recommend this book to people over 10 because some bits are a bit gruesome .
