A good length of book for a first reader to prepare them for reading more . A nice spin on the gingerbread man style story

There were 7 children and the mummy made a pancake and then when she made it it ran away and she had to catch it. It was like the runaway gingerbread man but a pancake instead. I like this book and have read it a few times.

It was very good because the pancake came alive and ran out of the door. My favourite character was the pancake because the pancake was the one that ran away. I would recommend it to someone else.

I liked that the dog, rabbit, duck, cat, fox, goat and all the family chased the little pancake to eat it. I thought it was funny when the pancake went on the kite. But I thought it was sad when the pig tricked the pancake and ate him. I wanted the pancake to live happily ever after!
