Inside the Story Lab

When the doors to the lab slid open, the four of us just stood there with our mouths wide open like complete dur-brains! As we stepped inside it felt so weird. It was like stepping into a spaceship.
There was a huge console with buttons twinkling and lights flashing on and off. We’re all into technology and stuff but nothing like Evie. You could tell she was desperate to find out more about it all.
Did I mention the books? They were everywhere! On shelves, stacked up on the floor, everywhere you looked. It was like the world’s coolest library! The weirdest thing of all was the ginger cat that was hanging about outside had come in with us. And then the Professor’s brain appeared on screen and her voice rang out, ‘Ah, I see you’ve met Aesop, my cat. Don’t let him try any of his kung-fu moves on you. It’s strictly forbidden inside the lab.’
And do you know, I think she was being serious!
