It's not only zombies who are green

Last Tuesday was GREEN DAY at Valence Library.

To celebrate we had looks of activities that involved recycling household junk into all kinds of cool stuff; nature trails; homemade honey from the bees at Valence House Musuem and even a chance to stroke the owls who made a special visit.

Captain Green also made a guest appearance handing out certificates and medals to all the avid readers who’d finished the Creepy House Summer Reading Challenge including Spider-Man (see picture above).

What cool things did YOU make during the holidays? Who is YOUR favourtie superhero? What’s YOUR number one Green tip to reduce/re-use/recycle?

My favourite superhero is hulk.I love superhero. Recycling means making something out of plastic, cardboard. Like throwing rubbish in the bin pollutes the earth. Polluting the earth means the enviroment is going to get worse.

The Hulk sure is a mean superhero!

We love to make things out of plastic, cardboard and anything else we can get our hands on in Barking Library – it’s fun and it all helps to avoid waste and pollution!
