There's a DRAGON roaring into our library

Greetings to all you you dragons, mermaids, minotaurs and trolls,

It’s ‘MAGICAL MELANIE’ here again to share some fun with you!

……Why do dragons sleep during the day?

…….So they can fight KNIGHTS..!!

What do you think of the wonderful photograph of our Dangerous Dragon? His body has been made from recycled coloured pages from old magazines – why don’t you get crafty and design and draw your own MYTHICAL CREATURE and ask your local library to display it. Let me know how you get on.

Don’t forget if you need any inspiration you can pop into your library and borrow a book on Mythical Creatures.

Who can make us laugh the loudest with their Magical Creature JOKE…!!..

Can’t wait to read them.

….STILL WAITING

Hello there.
Bonjour!

A Minotaur walks into a restaurant and says, ‘Hey, do you serve Minotaurs in here?’
The man behind the bar replies, ‘Sure, £20 each grilled!’

Hi Magical Melanie!
I love reading and like all kinds of books.
My favourite at the moment is “The Pirates Next-Door”, it’s very funny. I like to read it myself in bed when mummy thinks I’m sleeping!
Do you know any other pirate stories I might like to read for the challenge?
Here’s a pirate joke just for you:
What’s a pirates favourite letter?
Arrrgh…!

Yo Ho Ho!! Lord Pirate Postage-Stamp,

Thank you for liking our dragon. I too love ‘The Pirates Next-Door’ by Jonny Duddle, the Jolley-Rogers family are really good fun and the pictures are fantastic…there are lots of things to see in this book.
Now, another good PIRATE book is ‘Ten Little Pirates’ by Mike Brownlow with lots of lovely colourful illustrations by Simon Rickerty, there are many different ways to be involved with this picture book…and it can help you with your counting too…a lot of fun!

Ha HA Ha…! MY HEARTY love your joke, I laughed so much my parrot nearly fell off my shoulder.

Have fun from Peg Leg Melanie
