Teddy Bear Take Over

This week, we’ve been busy in the children’s library. We decided to do something fun to introduce the pre-schoolers to the Tesco Bank Summer Reading Challenge Scotland.

Three local nurseries visited the library for teddy bear songs and stories with their favourite teddy bears. We told them all about the reading challenge and when they left, the bears stayed behind for a sleepover.

Boy did those bears get up to mischief!

There was a safe heist, which we caught on CCTV, a wombat tried to make off with our Library of the Year Award and one of the bears photocopied his bottom. It’s been crazy!

The library has been restored back to order and the bears have been returned to their children. It’s been exhausting, but fun.

You can catch up with all the bears and their exploits on the Dundee Libraries Facebook Page. If you don’t have a Facebook account, ask an adult to let you have a look.
