Panto time

This is the season for pantomimes. Has anyone already been to one this year – or are you going to see one? Pantomimes are almost always based on fairy stories like Cinderella, Aladdin and Jack and the Beanstalk. Pantomines are always funny – oh no they aren’t, oh yes they are! and there are usually a lot of messy custards pies.

Does anyone have a favourite fairy story they would like to see acted as a pantomime? I think Cinderella has to be my favourite, although I like Jack and the Beanstalk too with the scary giant chasing poor old Jack. Try our panto quiz on your family and friends.

I went to see Sleeping Beauty it was amazing.
I would love to see the lion king or an animal one though and if they could use actual animal that would be epic! :)

Hello, Essex Librarians. I’ve actually never been to a pantomime before. Well, perhaps when I was younger. To be honest, I think there are a lot of pantomime ideas from lots of different children. And I’m not sure that my comment fits in that well, but I reckon that Jack In The Beanstalk has to be my favourite, that’s for sure. Xx

Dear Madam Jewel Eragon
What good ideas for a pantomime -I would love to see Thumbelina as a pantomime – I wonder who could play tiny Thumbelina?
