Join in with lots of events at your local library this Summer!

Laura Sneddon, Children's Librarian, Poole Libraries

Across the country, libraries hold thousands of events for children each year for Summer Reading Challenge.
We thought we’d tell you a little about the events we have planned in Poole libraries for the Mythical Maze.
Treehouse Theatre will be performing an interactive storytelling of Theseus and the Minotaur, Beatbudz will be taking us on a magical journey back to a time of kings and queens, dragons and dreams, and Graham Rogers will be telling the Native American tale; Raven and the Eye Juggler.
In Michele O’Brien’s ‘Poole Must Have a Myth’ the ever popular storyteller will be creating a myth for Poole. Children are invited to bring along an object that reminds you of Poole. What will you bring?
Local author Celia Leofsy will talk about her debut novel The Company of Goblins and Zoolab will return with their fantastical real life creatures for you to hold (if you wish!).
What events and activities are you looking forward to taking part at your local library this Summer?

I think it’s great that The Summer Reading Challenge are really helping kids
