Hello!
My name is Emily (that’s me in the picture having my first taste of Butterbeer at the Harry Potter studios!)
I am really excited to be blogging on the Summer Reading Challenge site. I have lots of activities and events at work this week so it may take me a while to get everything up on here, but I hope you will enjoy reading all about them.

I hope you are all enjoying taking part in Mythical Maze. Please do comment on my blog to let me know how you are getting on, what you’ve been reading, and ask if you have any questions or would like any good book recommendations.

On Monday I visited the South Oxhey Children’s Centre to tell them all about the Summer Reading Challenge. We had a lot of fun signing children up to take part. We also read some nice stories whilst sitting under a tree in the playing fields.

I then when to meet with some of our Young Reading Activists who are helping us to run things. These young people (mostly aged14-19) are volunteering their time to help us listen to you tell us all about the wonderful books you’ve been reading.

I look forward to telling you more about what’s been going on in Hertfordshire libraries this summer.
