A beautiful fresh cover for Chris Riddell’s Costa Award-winning Goth Girl and the Ghost of a Mouse. Illustrated in black and white throughout, full of adventure and dark humour, it is perfect for children aged 8 to 11!

Ada Goth is the only child of Lord Goth. The two live together in the enormous Ghastly-Gorm Hall. Lord Goth believes that children should be heard and not seen, so Ada has to wear large clumpy boots so that he can always hear her coming. This makes it hard for her to make friends and, if she’s honest, she’s rather lonely.

Then one day William and Emily Cabbage come to stay at the house and, together with a ghostly mouse called Ishmael, the three children begin to unravel a dastardly plot that Maltravers, the mysterious indoor gamekeeper, is hatching. Ada and her friends must work together to foil Maltravers before it’s too late!

Continue this deliciously dark series with Goth Girl and the Fete Worse Than Death, Goth Girl and the Wuthering Fright and Goth Girl and the Sinister Symphony.

It was amazing. There were loads of interesting bits. I especially liked Lucy, a vampire. She was a vampire who likes black, the moon and nighttime and she is really nice to Ada, the main character. I would recommend it to my friends.

This book was superbly illustrated and narrated by Chris Riddell. To put it in short, I would recommend this book to adventurous mystery lovers, though anyone who loves twists and turns with every page would love this.Another reason this book is favourable, is the description of character, scene and object. AMAZING BOOK!!!!

I really liked this book because whenever Chris Riddle writes a book it doesn't always have a happy ending and it has a sort of twist.

I think that this book is amazing because there are a lot of people that are included and the main person is Ada,she met Some other people that were in a club called The attic club.In the attic club there were two people called William and Emily.William was very funny because when he touches something,he turns the same as it-the same color and shape.Emily was a very good painter and when Ada first met Emily, she didn't know why she was here,Once Ada asked Emily if she could be in the attic club,Ada knew that they had a club because William told Ada but Emily didn't want her to come.In the attic club, there were also some other people who hide from their parents so that they can go to the attic club.Emily said that she could come to the attic club, the club was at Ada's palace, there she lived with her dad and other Guests. At the club,Ada found mouse that could speak,it was called the Ghost of a mouse. Then it helped Ada be friendly with Emily and they became best friends.

I initially thought that it would be an adventure book but when I opened it, it was a mystery book. It was about a girl named Ada and she woke up and found a ghost of a mouse and the ghost said I have discovered all of your house then Ada asked if he could show her all the other ghosts that were in her house. She also told the ghost that her house was so big there were places that she had never been to which she was also forbidden to enter. I liked the ghost of a mouse because everytime Ada would say mouse and the ghost was being very specific about his name. I was interested that Ada's house was haunted because she said she lives in a vey grand mansion. Yes I would recommend this book.

I like this book because it is about ghost and I like ghosts. My favourite person was Ada because she helps anyone who needs help. The thing that interested me was why all her teachers hadn't stayed (eg,) some ran away and some just left out of anger. I would recommend this book to someone because it is a very mysterious book and that is just the best type of book.
