Finish the Story - Our first winner!

You have been busy over the summer. We’ve received thousands of entries for our Finish the Story competition!

We’ve asked librarians up and down the country to help us read and shortlist all your wonderful stories. Now the wait is finally over …….. and we’re really excited to announce our first winner, Jay Brown, aged 11 from Leeds, who finished Cressida Cowell’s story, The Woods Were Full of Whispers

Cressida selected the winner for her story and had this to say about the winning entry, “I thought this story had some beautiful description – I love the witch’s beetle-black eyes, and how bits of her peel off, leaving her just a cloak, floating in the vat. Very imaginative.”
