Get Creative This Summer!

Introducing our super summer competition!

This summer, we’re challenging you to write a record breaking rap or a limerick.

The lucky winner will win a fun packed, record-breaking experience full of surprises organised by GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS in London, while 5 lucky runner-ups will receive a goodie bag filled with special treats!

Fancy taking a crack at a rap?
We’ve started it off and now the rest is up to you! Use the opening two lines to inspire you to finish the rap.

“Fastest, highest, biggest, best
You broke the record and you passed the test…”

Limericks more your style?
Then see if you can finish this!

“There was a young girl from Penzance
Who taught all her friends how to dance…”

Remember, limericks are only five lines long so make every word count! And don’t forget that the 1st, 2nd, and 5th lines rhyme, and the 3rd and 4th lines rhyme

Need some inspiration?
Take a look below at the famous limerick by Edward Lear:

“There was an Old Man in a boat,
Who said, “I’m afloat! I’m afloat!”
When they said, “No! you ain’t!”
He was ready to faint,
That unhappy Old Man in a boat.”

How to enter
You will need to be logged into the website to enter this competition. If you don’t already have an account, please create a profile by clicking on ‘Create My profile’ at the top of the page. Once you’re logged in, you can then submit your rap or limerick.

Good luck!
