Summer Competition

What is your dream adventure?

Summer is here and we’re going on an adventure!

The Big Friendly Read is this year’s Summer Reading Challenge, and we’re celebrating 100 years of the world’s favourite storyteller, Roald Dahl.

Roald Dahl’s stories are full of amazing adventures – from James crossing the Atlantic Ocean in a Giant Peach to Charlie and Willy Wonka soaring into space in the Great Glass Elevator…

We want to know: what is your dream adventure?

  • Maybe you’d like to go on an epic journey through the Amazon rainforest or fly around the world in a hot air balloon
  • Perhaps you’d like to go back in time for a spot of dinosaur-watching or hang out with the Ancient Egyptians
  • Your dream adventure might be to a fictional world – you could take a trip to Hogwarts and try your hand at some magic or solve mysteries in the countryside with the Famous Five
