Out-of-this-world competition!

Would you like to have a star named after you?

We have an amazing competition for all you budding astronauts out there!

Ahead of British astronaut Tim Peake’s mission to the International Space Station in December 2015, Usborne Publishing have created a very special competition. To win the amazing prize of having a star named after you, and a copy of The Usborne Official Astronaut’s Handbook, answer this simple question:

“If you were an astronaut, what one thing would you’d take with you to space and why?”

  • Would you take a big bar of chocolate to keep away the munchies?
  • A good book that you’ve always wanted to try reading upside down in zero-gravity?
  • A picture of your parents to remind you of home?

To be in with a chance of winning, log into the Summer Reading Challenge website and write your answer in the text box below. Good luck!

  • The closing date for the competition is 8 January 2016
  • Competition is open to UK and Eire residents only, and entrants must be aged 12 years or under.
  • The judges’ decision is final and the winner will be randomly selected from all correct entrants
