My Favourite Nature's Treasure Competition

WIN a copy of Nature’s Treasures and Ben’s previous books The Wonders of Nature and An Anthology of Intriguing Animals.

This month, DK are celebrating the publication of a brand new book by the best-selling nature writer, Ben Hoare. In Nature’s Treasures he has collected 100 intriguing items and he reveals the fascinating stories behind them. Find out how bristly mouths help huge whales capture tiny animals, how minute scales make butterflies shine in the sunlight, and how studying a leaf skeleton can tell us how it transports food.

Wherever you are in the world there are natural treasures to be found. By looking carefully you can find treasures in the most unexpected places – even in towns and cities.

HOW TO ENTER

• All you have to do is send in a drawing of a nature’s treasure you find.
• We have created a Nature’s Treasures Scavenger Hunt sheet to give you some ideas.
• So, wrap up warm and see how many treasures you can find, then send us a drawing of your favourite treasure. It can be anything, it doesn’t have to be from this list.

You can send us photographs or scans of your entry by using the ‘Submit an image’ options at the bottom of this page. Make sure you’re logged in to your profile first as we need to know how to contact you if you win.

Or you can send your word, meaning and drawing by email, to Kimberley.Sheehan@readingagency.org.uk

Or by post, to
