Saturday 6 February is no ordinary day – we’re celebrating National Libraries Day!

Libraries are so brilliant because anyone can visit one – you can discover new books, try out lots of different authors, and meet other people who love to read too!
You can even take part in awesome activities like the Summer Reading Challenge!

The Science fiction writer Isaac Asimov said that a library isn’t just a library -

“It is a space ship that will take you to the farthest reaches of the Universe, a time machine that will take you to the far past and the far future, a teacher that knows more than any human being, a friend that will amuse you and console you…and most of all, a gateway to a better and happier and more useful life.”

What do you think? What do you love about libraries?

Tell us over on our chat page and you might see your answer featured here!
While you’re there, tell us about the best books that you’ve discovered at the library!
